About Glamping

We found 134 Wilsons Lane when we weren’t really looking for somewhere of this size or with quite so much work needed but it looked intriguing and so we thought we’d have a day out and take a look. The moment we set foot on the land we both knew it was where we wanted to be.The property was a mess and there were car parts and junk strewn across the paddocks but we saw the beauty through it. For the first year we tidied up, removed fences and the land started to regenerate. The second year we built our house and the off grid infrastructure and then in the third, we built the bathrooms and ordered the tents.

The 25 acres that makes up Goldfield Glamping is geographically varied and was  part of a gold prospectors claim during the goldrush. The area bordering the creek is stunningly beautiful, especially early in the morning as the sun rises and bathes the cliff face with soft light. Our private creek frontage is a series of pools and cascades with amazing cliffs, glades and riverside trees where bush walking, panning for gold or relaxing are all possibilities You’ll find a few secret seating areas in the places we love the best.

With just 5 tents, there will never be a crowd and thats the way we like it.

About our location

We are off the beaten track!

There are no shops or cafes nearby. You can buy eggs and honey from the Googie Eggs on the corner of Daylesford Newstead Road and Jones Reeces Road but that’s the extent of local shops.

We are situated within easy driving distance of Daylesford, Hepburn Springs, Castlemaine and Maldon. Shops, cafes and pubs closest to us can be found in Newstead and Guildford.

Goldfield Glamping is a bush retreat, so we don’t over manicure the landscape but work with it to show it off at its natural best.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land. We pay our respects to their elders, both past and present and to their children and young people, who are our future elders and caretakers of this great land.
